Skilled trades-people can earn good money, and always have the option once qualified of setting up in business on their own account – with one staff or twenty it is over to you.
And then if you wish to travel, New Zealand qualifications are highly respected overseas so you can be fairly sure that you will find work on that ‘OE’.
And if you decide once you have qualified that you want to try something different some of your unit standards may be able to be cross-credited, but if it doesn’t work out you always have your trade to come back to.
